Dr. Alvin Choi, Dentist
Dr. Alvin Choi grew up in Oakville, Ontario and graduated from University of Western Ontario Dental School in 2011. He continued his dental education by completing a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston University with clinical rotations at Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Choi practiced dentistry in rural Alberta for three years before joining Seafair Dental Centre.
Dr. Choi is experienced in implant dentistry, wisdom teeth removal and providing dental treatment to medically complex individuals.
Dr. Choi currently resides in Richmond, BC with his family. He enjoys going to the park with his family, and exploring the various activities the beautiful city Richmond has to offer. Dr. Choi is a car enthusiast and you may see him at the local car meets.
Dr. Jia Hao, Dentist
Dr. Jia Hao grew up in Vancouver and received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Toronto in 2007. She graduated from dental school in 2011 from University of Western Ontario. She was then selected to attend a fellowship in general dentistry at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and served as a dental resident at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her multi-disciplinary fellowship provided extensive training in hospital dentistry, root canal treatment, crowns and bridges and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hao worked in a large private dental practice in Alberta for three years before returning to Vancouver.
Dr. Hao enjoys treating children and teaching them and their parents how to care for their teeth to prevent cavities. She is experienced in providing comprehensive dental care. Her hospital work experience also makes her knowledgeable in treating clients with complex medical needs.
Dr. Frederick Kwong, Dentist
Dr. Frederick Kwong has been practicing at the Seafair and No. 1 Road location since 1981. While his Mandarin is passable, he is fluent in English and Cantonese. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and graduated at the top of his class in 1980. He was admitted to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society and was a member of the Matthew Cryer Honor Society, both prestigious societies awarded to candidates of high academic and clinical achievement. Upon graduation, he received awards for excellence in operative dentistry and crown and bridge prosthesis.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, he made Vancouver his home in 1981 and raised his family in “the best place on earth”. He enjoys long walks, listening to music, reading and playing guitar. His newfound passion is his family dog Nika, a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback currently residing with his daughter in NYC.
